Fresh air and healthy babes… is what we are after

December 11, 2010

It has been a very sad hectic emotional month here in our house hold. We are usually all smiles and laughter, But when you get struck down with the chicken pox with one child then gastro and then only days after gastro when the first one is just healing from chicken pox, The other two get it. It gets a little tough.
But I am so proud of the girls, they have been miserable but you also get to see smiles.
We can't wait for it all to pass. Taylee and Jazz are almost 100% and poor Ellie is still struggling alittle but it will only be a day or so longer of no sleep and crying and she will be back to her crazy gorgeous self.

Bananas

First day of our Holiday.
Umm.. yes, you see right it is a Caravan! I know dorky!
But LOADS of fun

Spring Days

This is why we needed a holiday.
Our three beautiful girls just needed time with us, and we just needed time with them.
We had the best time, scooters races, playing in the parks, jumping on the jumping pillows, swimming, playing cards and just being us.

Happy Birthday Kelsey

Today is our Kelseys 8th Birthday, and if you do a conversion to dog years she is 45yrs old.
She is awesome. She is one smart cookie and has been an amazing pet for the girls.
We celebrated with loads of treats from the girls, and playing ball in the backyard and a before bedtime stroll around the block.

Taylee LOVES the Creepy Crawlies, LOVES! She is so lucky she has a lot of friends that also adore all things tiny and slimy.
Grosses me out, but hey we have our things!
Today was Melbourne cup day, and the weather here was Gorgeous! Melbourne cup day was celebrated with gorgeous friends, fine food and wine and a lot of spunky little kids searching for the slimy creatures in the backyard. No winnings here, but a fabulous afternoon.

photo a day - Day 30

We are on a roll people! Its 4 days into the School holidays and my girls are freaking me out, they are actually ALL getting along. I have no idea whats gotten into them but Im enjoying this.
Today was taylees turn, She was outside playing shops and was making fun of my laugh. So a tickle attach with camera in hand was my revenge. Even her eyes in this shot is all about cheek. She is such a tease, an adorable one.

happy dance happy dance 29 days in and I haven’t failed.. Yet!
Today was busy, a total contrast of yesterdays sloth day. Up early, straight to lab, back to take Courtney to airport, home to put Ellie down for nap, then up to Paddock to watch Aaron pull the tractor out of a bog, home to cook dinner, then work work work!
Busy, but nice fun busy. The kind of busy I like.

photo a day - Day 28

ISO 1600 f/3.5 SS 1/400sec 24-70L Lightly proofed in LR and sharpened for web
Today = Sloth day.
After three very hectic fun filled days, we needed a super sloth day. The girls where true champions today, we all had such a nice day in. The girls watched tinker bell, played teachers, play dough and sang.. ALOT!
Today was one of the days where I just felt so content and so happy. My girls are just beautiful, and have really come into there own. They all adore each other and seem to be nicer and loving towards each other more than the screaming matches, yelling, teasing that we have had for the last few months. It was a super sloth Fabulous day :D
I had so many images to add but our computer is so incredibly slow today. So here we have Ellie after her afternoon sleep. Taylee and Jazz where engrossed in their movie at this time.

photo a day - Day 27

Today I piled up the girls along with two of my cousins Courtney and Tom, and we headed to Crystal Brook. The purpose of our trip was to visit the matriach of our family, our Grandma. After 11 kids, countless Grandkids and an ever-growing number of Great Grandchildren she never tires of the kids, cuddles and stories her family brings her. Her face lit up when we arrived for our visit and after a good old chin-wag we took Grandma for a wonderful spin in the sun. It was pretty funny with Tom in control of the wheelchair, and Grandmas directions. We definitely went off road!! But we did return her safely haha…
Grandma Cousins you ROCK!!!
God Bless xXx

What a Busy Fun Amazing happy day we had today. Today was Ellies Christening and her 2nd Birthday party.
We had an absolute ball, and the weather was just gorgeous! SUN!!
Todays images are not taken by me, so I hope this still counts lol.
I wish i hired a professional photographer to capture our special day, some days you just have to be in the moment and not stressing about capturing it. Just wish I knew I would have felt that way before the big day.
xxx God Bless you Ellie

She is our little pocket rocket, our little gem star. She makes us all belly laugh with her funny little expressions. She is so loved. Her two big sisters are just smitten with her.
We love you SO much Ellie Belly

photo a day - Day 23

My thursdays are always fun. Ellie has her Friend Izzy over for the day and they are two little crackpots. To be honest, it wasn’t always love between them. It used to be hair pulling, crying, snatching and tears. But now these girls adore each other, they make sure they both have a doll and a pram, they make sure they both have a drink each. They hold hands, laugh and cuddle. Thursdays are FUN. A huge bonus, they both have an afternoon snooze.. thats great for me!
I then head to school and pickup my girls and a few extras (Izzys Brothers) and we usually go and find a park to play in for an hour or so.

photo a day - Day 22

I had such a productive day today. Wednesdays are my ONLY day without kids. And I was head down today and didn’t leave the computer. Gallery started and completed, emails, product purchase… So it was nice to get the girls and venture off to the park with their friends and mine and wind down this lovely spring day relaxed. I totally forgot to take my camera so i grabbed the iphone and just captured the play. No one was up for it, so my creative juices where zapped straight away. So what I came up with is 12 very random, some spectacularly ugly and fun honest pictures of our after school play by the beach.

After a nightmare trip to Marion with the fun sponge ‘Miss Ellie Harper” I totally deserved a 3 pack Sushi and a sloth on the couch watching good old The City

photo a day - Day 20

For the last few days Taylee and Jazz have been waking up before sunrise. Most mornings Aaron spots Jazz sitting at the end of her bed reading a book at 615am before he heads off to work. Early mornings equals early nights for two very tired cranky ladies.
But where I am going with this is Jazzy LOVES to read. Any chance she gets to read she does (hence the early book reading in almost complete darkness)
Tonight whilst Taylee and Ellie where having fun outside playing with the dog. I found Jazz in her favourite spot, On the end of her bed reading.
I just hope she continues her love of books.

Love her xXx

photo a day - Day 18

(ps. Taylee is wearing PJ’s that are on loan. NOT a fan!, but she LOVES!)
After a long few days, the girls have been exhausted and hard to be around. I think this weather has gotten to us all.
An early night tonight and look at them, How sleepy cute!
I just adore my Sleeping beauties!

photo a day - Day 17

What a great day, Its been hectic thats for sure.
Zumba! really? I have to say, I must be the most unco person around. I went to Zumba with my gorgeous sister inlaw this morning and i was a disgrace! I have no idea what foot is which and when to shuffle the butt! CLUELESS!
Lucky the day only got better.
Jazz had the day off as reception gets tiring you understand. Its hard work. So we ventured up to my girlfriends house and hung out for the afternoon.
and Friday afternoons are way to much drinking and social no documenting is allowed (so say my friends!)

photo a day - Day 16

Well, How funny these two cheeky monkeys thought they where when they decided to copy me (not the pegs in hair!)
So of course I had to snap away. I chose this one today as it makes me laugh. Not an amazing image by any means but one that I will cherish forever. Fun memories of today. xXx

photo a day - Day 15

Wow, what an amazing day!
I knew it was going to be an awesome day, but WOW! At 3:01pm on the 15th of September 2010 Gorgeous Amelia was born, and I was there to capture her safe, amazing arrival. She is absolutely adorable and the new family could not be any happier. It is such an incredible moment, that I feel so privileged to be able to capture. My Heart is so full!
So todays piccy is what I came home to, my three little girls eating dinner(not a fabulous picture, but after being out all day this is it).
I just LOVE my girls to the moon and back and back again!

photo a day - Day 14

24-70L 2.8 ISO 1250 f/3.5 SS 1/80 (slow)
Last night after dinner I asked Taylee and Jazz if they wanted to do the dishes, and was rewarded with the best outcome. A fabulously clean kitchen, dishes and bedrooms, the girls where on fire. Once the kitchen was clean they wanted more, they where loving it and having a great time. Well, who am I to say no right?!
This morning after breakie and getting ready for schoo,l Jazz asked if she could do the dishes. So once again, why would I not let her :D
(isn’t she a bit cute!)
Wonder how long this is going to last?
On another note, My clients getting induced tonight at midnight instead of this morning. So maybe a late post tomorrow :D

For some reason I find this not the easiest task, but we are having fun, and I quite like documenting our days.
Tomorrow, My birth client is getting induced!! Sooo I will try my best to have my blog day 14 up nice and early as it may be a long day/night :D
Also we are heading to Melbourne!
Dates 22nd till 27th of February 2011
More details during the week. We are so excited!

The girls gorging on a platter of fine fruit and watching flushed away.
With amazing weather like what we see today, Why are my girls inside?
We have all been struck with a flu, all starting to feel a little better, so a nice relaxing morning before we set off on a 4WD trek this afternoon.
(10 years ago today, I had my Jaw operation! there is some random trivia for you)

Turn your back for a second and I have 4 of the 6 kids waist deep in the sea WITH their school uniforms on..
The rinse off, that will teach them! haha
‘Mum, you said when Winter is over we can go to the beach!’ This is all I have heard since September 1st.
So…….. on a cold Spring afternoon, a trip to the beach was on the cards.

photo a day - day 9

We had some action while there, a pipe just up the road had burst so we filled the Radio Flyer with the kids and went to check out the action.
Its early and here I am Posting away.
After dropping the girls of at school and helping with school photos, I went to a girlfriends house for some Cafe toast and homestyle boost juice.. YUM freakin’ YUM! Thats my kind of morning.

School holidays almost over

I can not believe I am about to write this, BUT I am so sad school holidays are almost over!
Most school holidays I am so ready for school to go back, as the girls are usually over each other and just needing some time apart. But they really have been amazing. We have had such great school holidays.
The girls have just LOVED each other these school holidays. We have been rather busy with visiting Grandma in Crystal brooke, Ellies christening/birthday, Courtney in town, sleep overs and play dates and our camping trip away.
I have two Sessions tomorrow that I am really looking forward to. First week back at school will see me settle back into my Mondays with the twins, Thursdays with Izzy and Ellie and a mad week of Proofing birth and Family sessions.
Hope you all had a great break xxx

photo a day - day 8

I was going to nearly not bother tonight. I have been cleaning and proofing all day. then girls home mad rush to get dinner started and bathed and then my outing with some girlfriends for dinner. But here I am. I have to keep going on.
I wish my girls let me take pictures of them. They shy away or give me daggers if i go near them. So here we have Aaron.. I though I best do a Fathers Day post for him also. He wasn’t home for Fathers day this year, and the girls really felt it. But they went to school on Monday morning and hide their pressies under their pillows as they had a feeling daddy would be home to surprise them. Aaron was away for 6 days. The longest we have been away from each other in 9 years.(is that sad?)
Aaron is our rock, the best father to our girls, and the most down to earth caring man. We LOVE him
( quick proof in lightroom. Im tired lol)

photo a day - day 7

Aaron is home, Yay! It was a long 6 days but so glad he got the chance to do his snow trip this year ( Even though I did throw a pity party for myself the night he left.)
His trip ended up being a little longer than what we expected due to the flooding that held them captive, but an extra 500km on their trip and he is home to his 4 girls who missed him like crazy.
Aaron had today off, so he walked the girls to school and then we headed down to have breakie at Cafe Ect and a walk with Ellie on the Jetty.
I have learnt I really need to take my camera out more, I need to document our lives more and not be so hung up on getting that perfect portrait for my families everyday life. I want to capture my family, my children as who they are and doing what they do. Sometimes to grasp that crappy lighting and work with it, use it to capture our everyday as it is :D So lesson learnt! Please join me.

photo a day - day 5

For my Awesome Adorable Nerdy Funny Stinky Hilarious Dad xXx
A BUSH CHRISTENING – A.B. “Banjo” Paterson
On the outer Barcoo where the churches are few,
And men of religion are scanty,
On a road never cross’d ‘cept by folk that are lost,
One Michael Magee had a shanty.
Now this Mike was the dad of a ten-year-old lad,
Plump, healthy, and stoutly conditioned;
He was strong as the best, but poor Mike had no rest
For the youngster had never been christened,
And his wife used to cry, “If the darlin’ should die
Saint Peter would not recognise him.”
But by luck he survived till a preacher arrived,
Who agreed straightaway to baptise him.
Now the artful young rogue, while they held their collogue,
With his ear to the keyhole was listenin’,
And he muttered in fright while his features turned white,
“What the divil and all is this christenin’?”
He was none of your dolts, he had seen them brand colts,
And it seemed to his small understanding,
If the man in the frock made him one of the flock,
It must mean something very like branding.
So away with a rush he set off for the bush,
While the tears in his eyelids they glistened-
“‘Tis outrageous,” says he, “to brand youngsters like me,
I’ll be dashed if I’ll stop to be christened!”
Like a young native dog he ran into a log,
And his father with language uncivil,
Never heeding the “praste” cried aloud in his haste,
“Come out and be christened, you divil!”
But he lay there as snug as a bug in a rug,
And his parents in vain might reprove him,
Till his reverence spoke (he was fond of a joke)
“I’ve a notion,” says he, “that’ll move him.”
“Poke a stick up the log, give the spalpeen a prog;
Poke him aisy-don’t hurt him or maim him,
‘Tis not long that he’ll stand, I’ve the water at hand,
As he rushes out this end I’ll name him.
“Here he comes, and for shame! ye’ve forgotten the name-
Is it Patsy or Michael or Dinnis?”
Here the youngster ran out, and the priest gave a shout-
“Take your chance, anyhow, wid ‘Maginnis’!”
As the howling young cub ran away to the scrub
Where he knew that pursuit would be risky,
The priest, as he fled, flung a flask at his head
That was labelled “Maginnis’s Whisky!”
And Maginnis Magee has been made a J.P.,
And the one thing he hates more than sin is
To be asked by the folk who have heard of the joke,
How he came to be christened “Maginnis”!
This dude is why, I am the way I am. The reason Im such a stinker at telling jokes, why I find saying ‘Onions’ bloody funny, why i love the outdoors and know how to build a camp fire, why I get into trouble at footy games, why i talk louder and faster to annoy him, why sometimes i encourage the girls to squeal, why I am me.
Dad, I want to thankyou so much for being the best Dad to the four of us. Thank you for showing us the true beauty of life.
xXx

photo a day - day 4

(mind the messy house, I was busy :D )
When we have weather like we did today, there is not going to be to much to write about.
I did have a fabulous day stuck at home though. A gorgeous friend and her boys came around for the entire afternoon. The kids played wonderfully, well enough for Leah and I to sloth on the couch and watch TWO seasons of ‘The City’
Total sloth afternoon, and it wasn’t the kids watching dvd’s it was us.. Score :D
Even a bigger score, the job of doing the dishes was won by Taylee and Jack

photo a day - day 3

I am so thankful I grabbed the camera this morning while sitting at the breaky table. I never knew it was going to be this wet and horrible. Apparently spring never got the call. So we are stuck till she arrives.
Today has been pretty eventful. Taylee had class assembly where she stood in front of the whole school and talked about her excursion. (I will try and upload the video I took with the Mark ii, just have to figure it out.) She is one funny little miss. It was so easy to get her out of the bed this morning. She would be so happy to sleep all day that kid. But I went it at 7:20am and whispered.. School assembly into her ear and she was UP!
After school assembly Ellie and I travelled to my girlfriends house to get my hair done. The regrowth was starting to offend some people. So now im looking all blonde again and all so natural.
And now its school pickup time, and then Friday night drinky poos begin :D
that is why we have a day 3 image already posted and taken so early haha.. Smart Girl.
